Here are some photos from a few of the families I have spent time with recently. Documenting their love, support and tenderness for each other. Laughing and playing, running and jumping, sleeping and walking… Just being. Family: just where you can be yourself and know you’re loved…
A new family filled with love for this beautiful little girl…



I drove up to Hilton, to photograph this next family. I was there a year ago to photograph this little guy with these stunning blue eyes… This year I met his newborn brother – yes – they’re close in age and I’m sure there’ll be a strong bond between them as they grow up.



This little man absolutely loved the water… This family are often on the beach. Ah, yes, while doing this shoot I realised how blessed we were living in Durban. Sun, on the beach, during our winter. Bliss.



Families experience so much together. This next couple have sold their family home and wanted photos to remind them of the special times shared with their daughters & son-in-laws and their darling grand daughter, pictured below. You can see their house in the background. Such a special family. I have photographed every member of this family, photographing a wedding, a first birthday party, a new-little family and now their sad goodbye to their family home.


There’ll be more photos of each of these family shoots. I am struck by the familiariy of each family – I felt the love in each family – I know it sounds all chocolate boxy, but it’s the truth. Now all that’s left for me to do is fetch Rebecca from school and enjoy a little bit of the love in my own family before the busy weekend begins…
