This was an exciting event.  Tanya had simply told me it was a celebration of love & life on the beach.  Yes, on the beach in February just after mid-day on the Durban coast.  Yes, it was hot – very hot.  Everyone was wearing cool whites but I rock up in my photographers “uniform” of varying shades of black.  To say I was hot would be an understatement.  The sun was harsh, being early afternoon and I was a little worried about the possibility of harsh shadows during the “portrait” part of the event.  Thankfully I was eager to try out my new pocket wizards so I played around with some off camera flash.  While chatting to Tanya & Ingo, I discovered that this event was in actual fact a low key wedding reception as they had recently married in December and decided to celebrate with all their family from Germany and abroad in 2011.  So congratulations Tanya & Ingo!
